  Dinner was delicious. Portions were HUGE. Drinks were good. Bar was over staffed. Im used to the opposite being true. Was impressed. Only downside was at aome point in the evening when the night club downstairs got going, our friends who had stepped outside for a few minutes couldn't get back in without paying the 2 pound cover each. So we left earlier than we had originally planned.

  The burgers were amazing, definitely going back if I'm in the area. Sensible prices too. And the garlic bread was awesome.

  Nice place, informal setting, area set aside for diners and area set aside for drinkers so its nice to be away from the noise of the large projector on the other side when eating. Shows the usual football games and such like, nice menu but would have been better if there was more options for vegetarians. Otherwise, nice place to go for a meal or a couple of drinks.

  Food good, very large portions and good quality. Staff very nice, couldn't do enough for us when our daughter had an accident due to a poorly put together high chair. Would recommend but check any child related equipment they provide before using it.

  Much improved recently compared to 5-10 years ago. Good selection of guest ales that seem well kept, clean, tidy, classy venue. But perhaps suffers a little for being so big - this is welcome when it's crowded after the other pubs shut on a Saturday night, but makes it feel empty the rest of the time.
